Hetty Morris is home! Pictures of progress.

Post by CherryPeeks »

Hi everyone,

I've tried to make a photobucket album of Hetty's progress, but I've never done it before so I hope it's worked!

She finally came home from the workshop today after:

New brake master cylinder
Replacement sill (offside)
Welding to wheel arch (offside)
Replacement rear wings (generously donated by a wonderful MMOC member, Ian)
Numerous bodywork repairs
Total respray (except engine bay which is being done at a later date)
Exterior wood stripped and oiled
Two new tyres
MOT

Still to be done:

New carpets bought but not yet fitted
Replacement chrome trims and wing mirrors (as part of rolling resto)
Alternator to be fitted
Uprate brakes
Interior wood sanded and oiled
And a whole load of other little jobs I haven't even discovered yet :D

Thanks to everyone for the advice and support so far! Hope the link works for the pictures:

Absolutely gorgeous!! And the Traveller's looking lovely too! Had to say what everyone else is probably thinking!
An excellent job, and, at the risk of offending everyone with a Limeflower Green Morris, what an improvement the Old English White is.
How nice to see a young lady getting on with a job that is supposedly " of the male domain" and sticking in without panicking about breaking a nail! Yes, that sounds stereotypical, but having been a secondary teacher for three and a half decades, sadly it's an attitude amongst young ladies that is becoming increasingly common.
Wonderful job, and I look forward to the wedding pictures, and Miss Cherrypeeks, my Traveller is progressing far more slowly, so if you'd like to lend me a hand............................................?
I have no problem accessing the photobucket album!

Well done, it's looking great, That's not a BMC logo tattooed on your arm is it? If so you've got it bad!

Well done you!
Looks quite amazing, I am not keen on changing car colours, but that was the right move! Enjoy Hetty as much as possible :D :D :D
My 1956 Series 11 Traveller! Bought when I was 17 (1985)....sold 6 years (1991) later......bought back 9 years after that! (2000) With 6 different owners in the middle, what a lucky boy I am!
