i think they also call them them the felt door trim.which stops water comming in and the glass from rattling.....lol...

Wind the window right down and prise the old ones out, they have about 6 small spring clips that locate into holes along the door. Replace with new. You can get rubber seals that stop water better.

Re: top of the door seals/weather strip
Hi, yes these are pretty simple to replace. not sure if your car has the larger doors ie trav or 2 door but if so you wont have to cut them down to fit, if a 4 door van etc then they will want triming to the correct size. i use a flat blade scrapper to pop them away from the inner door frame. id then line up and trim the new ones to fit making sure u line up the clip holes and trim in the right place. also wipe a film of waxoyl or greese onto the inner door lips before fitting new ones as this is a common door rust area trap as they do tend to hold water these felts as they get old. i change mine every 5 years roughly. the uprated TOUCH GLASS weather stirps are superb but if you put your arm out the window when driving along like i do in nice weather then they not good then as they will mark your arm and not comfortable lol

Re: top of the door seals/weather strip
I have managed to change the front weather strips OK but the rear door windows on a 4 door do not disappear into the door. Any advise on that ?
