Hahahah -well it does say 'uprated' with the later internals - but if you want it for a standard Minor - the price is ridiculous.......

What's wrong with your 'box? And is it an 803/948/1098/1275 engine?

There are a couple of gearbox specialists that advertise in Minor Matters (John Evans and Weeley transmissions) both of whom produce good reconditioned boxes at a lot less than the price in that Ebay link. Did you swap the last box yourself? If so, then you don't need anyone else's facilities, just a delivery service from a good supplier. Taking it somewhere for them to remove, strip, repair, and refit the existing box would seem fairly priced at £300 plus parts. It might sound a daft question, but is it definitely your box at fault? Check the propshaft UJs and diff. Are you using the correct oil - engine oil 10/40. NOT gearbox oil. Hopefully you'll find a good box and start enjoying the car again pretty quickly. BTW, have you considered punctuation to make it easier to read your posts?

If the supplier has a box available then they will probably send it out but with a surcharge that is refunded upon receipt of your old box. If no new box is available, then send the old one to them, and they will repair and send back. Sorry, I don't know current prices, but just phone either place for a quick quote and to ascertain availability. In fairness to Heathrow Transmissions, I can remember them from back in the 1970s, so if it is indeed the same place, they must be doing something right, it's just that the price in that advert seems way too high! Good luck.

PS, ESM list a recon box at £395 + VAT http://morrisminorspares.co.uk/shop/pro ... 7e101131a9 or Bull Motif £390 + VAT http://www.morrisminorspares.net/shopse ... ll&x=0&y=0

Perhaps we're out of touch with current prices!
