Timing! 1342 ANTI clockwise. Make sure the plug leads are in the correct order. Just because you get a spark on each plug does not mean that the leads are on the correct plugs

Timing is 1342 anticlockwise.

Yeh we got the timing sorted, but will double check it thanks does the vacuum on the dizzy have to be working correctly? Pipe to carb is not very good! Cheers

It should be working - but won't affect basic 'starting'. So - what was done to the engine? And have you checked #1 is sparking exactly when #1 piston is at the top of the bore - with both valves closed?

When you say you rebuilt the engine, what was done? Is the valve timing correct? Was the dizzy drive put back correctly?

We had it ticking over and it ran ok, we checked firing order and set tappits etc but we think fuel is off so we will be refuelling it so everything should be ok, cheers
