I have a series 2 splitty 1954 and have the big base l549 chrome base but I managed to find my self a set of the painted bases but now I need the l549 small chrome base to sit on top?
can anyone tell me if I do require the small chrome bases or not if so how much are they and where can I get some?
(I don't need lenses as I already have a new set so its just the bases)

I bought mine from ESM, but had to send back the base to wing rubbers as there was no way they would fit. ESM stock everything for the early lamp apart from the bases - cheap they ain't though as I had to buy everything.
