1/4 light mirror fixing.

Post by C.J. »

Bought one off Bull Motif. No instructions, and can I fathom out how and where exactly to clamp it on? :-?

NO!

Anyone got one, preferably with a piccy to help guide me through what must/should surely be one of the simplest iobs imaginable please?
I'm almost embarrased asking tbh.

If it's the "clamp on" variety it screws to the frame on the opposite side of the quarterlight.

Tried that, but couldn't close the window then.

I'll go back and study it again.

The solution is obviously staring me in the face but I'm struggling to see it. :x

No. Still can't work it out.

Do you have to cut the 1/4 light rubber window seal to accomodate the clamp? :-?

Wish I'd bought the proper 'drill and fix' door mirrors now tbh.

We never had to cut the rubber on my Husband's car to do this. I must admit personally I don't like these kind of mirrors. I prefer the ones drilled onto the stainless steel triangle and have these fitted to my own car.

There are some photos / instructions in this thread which might help: http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... +on+mirror

Cheers for that!

It did indeed help enormously, so much so I think I'll send it back to swap for a pair of PROPER door mirrors.
Wasn't even particulary cheap either considering it's basically.....tat.

What a ruddy mither.
