Yankee pacesetter? mirrors imported from the states, and a horn ring from an oxford (I think)

Still following the non-standard route of course :)

Hope everyone had a canny xmas btw

(PS - changed the name of the car from "bad betty" to "betty Bones", the art-work will reveal all when done, but lets just say "day-of-the-dead" style ;) )

Liking the mirrors. Think the horn ring would look better on a later two arm steering wheel. But keep doing it your way.

I'd thought about the 2arm wheel for the hornring, might still go that route, or shove the wheel on upside down ... not sure yet :D

No I like the 3 spoke, it's more of a 50's look. Can't wait to see Betty when finished. :)

Hi

Any chance of the body number of this motor - as it's a rare LBM model?

Thanks

Mr.Bitemytongue
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

well updates since my last post:

Firstly.. a big FAIL! - the later model steering wheel doesnt fit over the early steering column. so looks like a steering column swap is now also on the list!

got new plates, bullet bolts, valvecaps, made an eyeball glovebox handle, and other general stuff!

and... well although most purists probably stopped reading this thread a while back... if you still are.. you may not want to look ahead ;)
got an old railway oil lamp, going to turn it into a high level brake light hung in the back window, and put some sort of haunted scene in it for when it lights up ;)

ENJOY!

I guess 12 volt candle bulbs don't exist, shame, one would look good in there.
