I am looking to buy an original Lucas coil for my '52 ,my question is how can I identify the correct one ?does anyone have an original and can supply all of the information written on the coil,regards,rob.

I have a straight coil for a MM in working order.

I have a '52 seriesmm & the coil details are as follows
012 Lo
ER12V 852
(x) 45020B
the (x) above relates to a lucas emblem which looks like a ban the bomb sign from the '60's
852 relates to August 52

Many thanks Barry and Brian,I have since posting been able to locate the information on the original coil,and have just bought two of them with close dates.Barry is the coil you are offering an original mm coil?regards,rob.

Thank you Mike for posting that photo,I have learned that the coil number seems to be 45020 and sometimes a letter after the number I.e.A ,B...I have also heard the term long coil and short but do not really know what that means.Looks like someone does not have much faith in these original coils!

I have found a Lucas straight 12 volt for A mm
seri number er12v 244 401650
I am asking £10 + p&p
