Selling on ebay

Can anyone tell me how to sell my minor on e bay?. I am a buyer of long standing but never sold anything, I started to slog through the "easy step by step instructions" and it was like wading into glue. What I'm looking to do is sell it either with a classified listing, or fixed price, not an auction. Before anyone asks why I don't put it on this notice board, it's because in the past I've tried to sell it, but been inundated by kids and I won't sell it to a young driver.

If you put it on ebay you won't have a choice who you sell it too? Maybe Autotrader or Practical Classics/Similar would be a better bet?

If you go to the "my ebay" page - which I assume you are familiar with as a buyer, there is a sell tab there. Just work your way through it - it explains all as it goes.

Out of interest why not sell to a younger driver (and what do you class as younger)? I've had minors since I was learning to drive (10 years ago) and never crashed/destroyed one (except the one that was so rotton it was beyond saving - so I broke it for parts)

I agree with Matt, if you sell through Ebay it could be to a dealer who will just sell the car on. At least by selling it on here you know that it is more likely to go to a loving home where it can receive the right maintenance.

We have many young members/members who drive nothing but Minors. Their cars are in very good condition, well maintained and lovingly polished. In fact they put a lot of us to shame. Good luck with your sale.

I don't consider Minors suitable for inexperienced drivers as Minors have no secondary safety whatsoever.Mine has no seat belts even. Young people have little sense of danger and believe themselves to be invulnerable, I know this because I've been there myself and somehow survived and whilst there may be some cautious young drivers, observation whilst out driving suggests that these are the exception. I don't want to sell someone a car for them to go out and kill or severely injure themselves in. I did not intend to auction the car or list it as buy it now. I wanted a classic car listing, when presumably the buyer would come to view the car. It's not worth a great deal of money, as it is not in pristine condition, the paintwork is a bit tatty, but it runs and drives well and there are no patches on the body. I have owned it for 6 years and made quite a few improvements. It's very reliable. Maybe I will put it on the forum notice board and state that I won't sell it to a young driver. I'm sorry if I there are young drivers reading this, but I want you to live to old age.
