I have decided to bite the bullet and replace all the wood on my Traveller. I have done a complete bare metal rebuild, so it makes senses to finish it off properly
I would be grateful to hear of experiences with the various timber suppliers. In particular, has anyone bought complete frames from Traveller Timbers? They seem to be much cheaper than other alternatives (particularly as they are not VAT registered) and I'm wondering if there is a down-side.
Rather than post anything on the site which might upset suppliers, pelase PM me any comments you have which you think I would find useful.
Many thanks
Dave

Re: Where to buy Traveller timber
I would go to Steve Foreman, a brilliant chap, his woodwork is excellent and he can supply lots of information on how to fit it all too, as well as different wood treatments. He has been doing it for years too, the first ash sections I bought off him was in 1987, and 25 years on they are as good as new! It all fits well too, you get what you pay for, depends how long you wish to keep the car for.
My 1956 Series 11 Traveller! Bought when I was 17 (1985)....sold 6 years (1991) later......bought back 9 years after that! (2000) With 6 different owners in the middle, what a lucky boy I am!
