Is this the correct Fuel Tank Sender?

I recently bought a couple of bits and pieces from a chap, and one of them was a new fuel tank sender. However, upon looking more carefully at the box, it has written on it in pen; "Mini Tank Unit", "petrol float switch".
On the Leypart box label it says "1 x AAU 8340" and "S1910"
To me it looks like the Minor ones and I am hoping that it will be suitable for my 1960 Traveller restoration.
What do those of you who really know about these things think? Is it correct? Will it be ok?[frame][/frame][frame][/frame].

Another thing that has just occurred to me; there is no gasket with the sender. Bearing in mind its proximity to petrol and vapours, what should I make one from?

I can't tell you if the sender will work with the standard fuel gauge in the Minor, but as to the gasket, I think I'd go for cork soaked overnight in oil. Others will be along to give more knowledge.

I had that problem! There are 2 types of unit an early and late. The early one which I think you need was available recently at ESM, best of luck !

I think a 1960 would have the screw on type connector for the power from the loom and the arm possibly looks a bit short, the original would also have a tin float rather than the plastic one. All that said if the arm is the right length and you put a lugar connector on the loom there is no reason why it shouldnt work!
