Gearbox crossmember cable bit
Just pulled the gearbox out of the Moggy, and on the crossmember there was a cable going to the gearbox - on the reverse side there was some sort of threaded adjuster, the cable snapped off as I tried to undo the threaded nut, what is it and what's it for?

It's there to stop the engine shifting forwards under heavy braking and the fan touching the rad.

Re: Gearbox crossmember cable bit
Belt and braces approach for gearbox mountings! Does this mean that the gearbox/engine mounting rubbers are too soft and flexible? And where can I get a new one, couldn't see any in Moss catalogue. Thanks

Here you go;

It shouldn't be tight when fitted, at neutral tension is perfect.
