Directions for those without modern machines

Post by alexandermclaren »

 Driving Directions for the 2013 Rally
or go to the estate web site for a detailed route map program
From Oxford, follow the A44 through Woodstock, then turn left onto the B4437. (Total journey around 17 miles.)

From Banbury and the Midlands, take the A361 south from Banbury, continue through Bloxham and South Newington, then turn left onto the B4030. Continue through Enstone, crossing the A44, to Charlbury.

From the South-West, get to Burford using the A40 or A361, then follow the A361 north through Fulbrook for two miles. Turn right onto the B4437 for Charlbury.

From the West, get to Chipping Norton on the A44 or A361, then follow the A361 south to the edge of the town. Turn left onto the B4026 for Charlbury.

From Witney, take the B4022 through Hailey to Charlbury.

Alexander - None of your posts were deleted, they were just moved to a more appropriate forum.

I moved your messages about a sponsored dog walk, Lymes disease & ticks to the 'off topic' forum as they were not Morris Minor related. You had made the comment
alexandermclaren wrote:There shouldent be any real problems at the Centenary rally
and also mentioned that ticks can be more of a problem in deer parks, but dogs are not permitted in the deer park at Cornbury. Under the circumstances it seemed to me that you were posting a general awareness message about ticks rather than a message that was specifically rally related. Ticks can be a potential problem for pets throughout the countryside (my dog used to regularly get them) so it's useful for you to post up a reminder up for members, and provide tips on how to remove them, but ‘off topic’ seems the most suitable forum for any pet & health related messages. Links to your threads have been left visible in the 'general discussion' forum so members will have no problem in seeing where your posts are if they wish to read them.

Your message giving directions to the centenary rally - which you have now deleted and re-posted here in the ‘off topic’ forum - was left in 'general discussion’ as this is the most appropriate forum for it. Changing the thread title will now mean that those looking for directions on here might not be able to easily find them.

I have to ask - why does someone in Girvan feel the need to post directions (surely freely available from The AA or any Sat Nav) to an English Morris Minor show ? :o

It's the international Morris centenary event Roy, not an "English Morris Minor show" and people are coming from as far afield as New Zealand & Canada :D I'm sure some general directions about how to get to the site will be included with the rally material that is sent out to those who pre-book (it usually is) but Alexander's post might be helpful for those that don't have a sat nav and like to plan their journeys well in advance.

Hehe. The 6 gal. tank may prove irksome. This video makes me laugh:

But can anyone identify the car at the top-right of the multiscreen near the end?
