Very sad.

However it could still yield some useful spares: steering wheel, engine plus ancileries, wheels, seats (frames at least although they don't look too bad....)...... more??
If I was closer I'd see if I could obtain permission to take it away for these alone.
That's a point actually, where is it?

hate seeing things happen like that. Just think, that car was once bought brand new and cherished. Hard to think when you look at it now.

From what I could make out it was in a large wooden shed originally until that rotted and collapsed on top of the car, if you look that's what all the wood is from in the back ground.

Go on Simon, you know you want it!! I expect that it would be priced at £4k plus by some dealers going on some of the ridiculous prices around at the moment!!
Shame though to see it like that as I expect it was once a very nice car! The rear inner wings look amazingly free of road dirt and underseal which could indicate that it was maybe someone was intending to restore it at one time.

It is sad to see it end up in such a sorry state, but the whole of the floor had gone and grass etc was growing through as soon as anyone tried to move it I'm sure it would just collapse, I didn't get permission to go on the land but there were loads of old things lying about but apparently its an old guy who wont do anything with the land or its contents, the sad thing is its a very very nice area. I found 3 cars yesterday in a scrap yard in Doncaster in a much better state than this.

It looks like it had been rolled -the gear knob might buff up nicely. I think it's better to let this one Rust In Peace!

Wow. I love seeing cars like this, they make such interesting subjects for viewing. Leave it in peace. Though perhaps one or two parts could be 'borrowed'.
