marina engine mods?
Following my recent dilemma regarding my 1098 engine I have acquired a 1275 marina engine and am just looking for some advice on any mods that need doing before I try and fit it in my Morris, where can I get a bigger exhaust to compliment the bigger engine,i already have a servo fitted and brakes are good ,Thanks in advance
Re: marina engine mods?
These engines have a very soft cam fitted - best upgrade will be to fit an MG Metro cam while the engine is out. Head and carb etc improvements can all be done later.

Re: marina engine mods?
if the question is what must be done to fit the engine, i would suggest you get the marina to minor manual available from esm. it lists all the changes required.

Just done same on my car. U will need modified back plate and flywheel if using 1098 gearbox. Available from Mmc Birmingham and others. I use birminghams big bore exhaust and 3 branch manifold. I got a nice HIF 44 carb off eBay and k&n filter. Clutch was nightmare. Pattern one slipped. Borg and beck 1098 clutch from MGOC was fine!
