Not really answering your question but... I was going to go until I took the engine out of the car then started those small jobs in the engine bay that have dragged on :(

I went and it was a great day as usual but very cold which unfortunately did put quite a few people off, here's a few photos.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]
We had two free bus rides into Manchester on old 1960,s buses and a big thanks to Manchester branch a great start to the rally season.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Haha, funny that, because thats the reason I didnt go! I do take her out occasionally on nice days in the winter, but i thought best not to risk it.

I'd have probably got the distance award had there been one, but had a nice run up from Worcestershire with a Minor on a trailer, stayed for a couple of hours or so and then had to get on, deliver the car and collect a Marina in sheffield then drive back to Worcestershire. Just one of those days out....
Thought the heating was better in the Bus Museum. Flipping cold out, but not too uncomfortable inside. A shame numbers were a bit down but still a good rally and a chance to meet up with folk not seen since last season.
cheers

I think one of the appeals of this do, other than it being one of the friendliest shows with a great social atmosphere, is the time of year. There's rarely any other show to clash with the dates. Its the first branch rally of the year, and it doesn't really matter what the weather does because its indoors. I've been going to this do for more years than I can remember and wouldn't miss it. Often there's been snow about on the hills but I can't remember anytime when the weather has been properly off putting.
cheers

I think there were about 40 cars and it was good to catch up with a few people. It was very cold but Cam kept the brews coming. :D

As he's too modest to mention the fact - I had better add that Leafie,s Trav won best in show so congrats to him
