Just wondering, were there different exhaust mounts depending on the age of the car? I have a 1961 four door which the exhaust mount has broken off and I was going to order something like this: http://morrisminorspares.co.uk/shop/pro ... 200790ff4e mounting set with rubber hangers but on closer inspection the current set up which has broken is nothing like this at all!
Firstly, there is only one mounting, just in front of the rear axle near the springs. Secondly there are the U bolt clamps, but these are then attached to what I can only think to describe as a large rubber bung type which is then attached to the underside but due to age that has now broken in half leaving the exhaust dangling! (the previous owner rather thickly undersealed and this is obscuring how its actually attached).
I guess my realy question is, if I order a 'standard' mounting kit, will I have to make holes to attach it? Or will they be somewhere and have just been covered up? If not, any suggestions for how to reattach my exhaust?!
Thanks
