windshield washer
I have a 64 Traveller, LHD in the US. I see it has two washer jets. I see it has a water bottle in engine bay. It has a cut off tube from this bottle. From what I can read it would have a manual pump. But if so where is the pump? How do you activate the pump? Or, it is electric and if so where would the electric pump be and the switch to activate the pump. Thanks. Roger Sanger Sun Valley, Idaho USA.
Re: windshield washer
a manual pump push ought to be located on the dashboard, on the left hand side (assuming the same layout as RHD) of the toggle etc. switches under the speedo. perhaps it was swapped out for an electric switch. can you post an image of your dashboard?

Here are some pictures. The four pull switches are choke, wipers, lights, and starter.[frame]

Re: windshield washer
Post some pics of the washer bottle and entrails and we'll tell you. Screenwashers would not have been standard fitment at this age.

Here is the best picture of the washer bottle. The washer jets are also on the body below the windscreen. The bottle has a hose that has been cut. The hose in the bottle has a small filter like devise. I cannot find any other equipment. The previous only replaced the jets as the old one s looked bad. He never bothered to find out anymore about the washer system. Thanks[frame]

Re: windshield washer
My advice would be to buy an electric pump such as a Trico, new tubing and a switch. Remove the glove box liners and route the tubing through the bulkhead to the jets, site the pump near the bottle and fit the switch in your preferred location on or under the dash.
Forget the thumb-pump washers.
Forget the thumb-pump washers.
