I have a 1300 marina engine fitted with a backplate and minor flywheel. It has a 1098 clutch and is married to the original gearbox. Problem is that the clutch slips.
Do I need a 1275 clutch?
Do I need a midget clutch release arm or similar?
Urgently need advice as car off the road...
Please help!!'

Marina conversion clutch problem
1971 traveller- one of the last! 1275 Marina engine. 5 speed ford box.
Re: Marina conversion clutch problem
Something wrong with the installation. A 1098 clutch will EASILY handle a standard 1275 engine. Is there some free play at the pedal?
