I would appreciate any advice on locating the best paint to do the wheels on my '66 black Traveller. I don't know whether it is correct to the model, but I like that creamy off white colour. ( Not sure if it has a recognised name. ) I have been using Plasti-kote enamel, but that no longer seems to be available. None of the othe rmanufacturer's, Rustin's etc., seem to do quite the right shade. Has anybody got any ideas?
Cheers.

Try a spray can from Halfords Rover Arum White - compares to the Old English White which was used originally. Make sure to rub the wheels down and spray with a primer first.

Your post got me thinking as I have been intending to get a spraycan or two of Old English White for myself, so I Googled it. First choices were a bit expensive for an aerosol ( £12.95p plus vat + delivery or £19.9something from elsewhere!) but then I found Item No. 281049704400 on good old eBay! Carplan Colourmatch 400ml acrylic-based aerosol for £7.99p and free delivery. Not bad, I thought! If you get some, let me know what it's like, please.
Now, best gold colour for the dash components for my '49 lowlight? Anyone help?

Coalmossian, Try using Plasti Cote Antique Gold Enamel. I used it on the steering coloum and wheel boss of our series II. Not a perfect match, some may say a bit bright. I think it looks period enough.

Many thanks Mr or Mrs Customjob. I shall give it a go. Not that I'm desperate to do the job but the MM is next on the list once the Traveller's finished, if I live that long!
