I have now invested in one of those Solar trickle chargers mentioned earlier, the one actually mentioned is no longer on offer, my local Maplin wanted £19.99 for it, so I bought one of their others for £14.99. :P
The only difference is that it is 12V 2.4W, as opposed to the 12V 1.5W of the one mentioned earlier.
Link below.
Best wishes,
Mike.

good news on the higher output charger, unfortunate on the price though, happy motoring :)

Hi folks,

over here in SW-Germany the snow melted away yesterday, and at the moment rain is pouring down.

That reminds me of the first snowfall of this winter, which occured on 2nd December 2012, and I took the chance to photograph my Moggy in the snow for the first time.

Here are two of the shots I took on the occasion:

Normally Maggie is not mothballed over the winter. We have a law that you are not allowed to drive a car without snow tyres on snow and ice, and I don't want to get snow tyres for my classic (also I believe there aren't any available in 145 SR 14). However in my home area the winters aren't very severe, and during the last winters there have always been dry and sometimes sunny days every few weeks to take her out for a few miles. 2nd December was the first day with snow, and the winter service hadn't yet started putting salt on the roads, also I only used some side roads. Nevertheless I am looking forward to warmer days and more chances to drive her.

I hope you like the pictures.

Cheers
Hubert
