any tips please before I upgrade my heater
im just about to upgrade my heater in the van . Ive seen the article in tech tips about using a 79 mini type and I was wondering -is this still the way to go .

It's hardly a tech tip! Been the standard way to go for many a year. It has a larger fan - so blows harder... You can swap the Minor front plate and lever on to the body - so it basically looks as standard. The very BEST heater is ex Austin/Morris 1100 - but hard to find these days.

thanks - i will try and track one down . .......I thought Id better check as the article on the tech tips said he got a mini one for a tenner - so I thought it must be a bit out of date!

Hang a blanket or tarp from roof to floor behind the seats and you'll keep what heat you do have at the front where you want it.

Have you ran a high pressure hose through the heater pipes and backflushed it several times? You'll be amazed at the yuk which comes out and also the performance afterwards.
