Won't run long

Hi , I started the moggy tonight for the first time in a few months . It started no problem ran for about 5 minutes and then packed in , it started again but irratic. It would appear that the pump is starting for about 10 seconds then packing in , where should I start is it because its been laying a while

Clean the points in the petrol pump!!

I've never done that before Roy what part do you strip is it quite straight forward

Remove the top - the points are right there - just draw some fine emery paper through between the points a few times - turning it over of course to clean both faces - and then check it's working before refitting the cap - and driving off into the sunset...

Cleaned the points with a bit of sandpaper running like a dream
