reg transfer
I 've been searching the dvlc website for the following information but cannot find the relevent answer, perhaps someone here can help.----- It was once the case that a registration number could not be transferred from a car to a motorcycle, only from car to car or motorcycle to car. Anybody know if this is still the case please?

Re: reg transfer
I remember reading something years ago about number plate dealers having to have sheds full of old mopeds and things to transfer plates to, presumably well before retention certificates and you couldn't have a registration without it being ona vehicle... Wether that was stopped at some stage by banning car to bike transfers, I can't remember but not a problem these days anayway.les wrote:Thanks for that, I do remember years back car to bike was not permitted for some reason, seems things have moved on.
