Try Plusgas before attempting to turn the nut and do not under any circumstances use excessive force.

A Finish Powerball would appear to be the right tonic. Some of these supermarket tablets leave an insoluble mess.

I use an 18mm socket too - but it's not the correct size - although it is with a very few thou, so near enough.....

We have finish in the cupboard so I'll put one in the glove box as with the snow will leave until it's a bit warmer.
