breakersweb misleading

Post by T100SS »

Just a note to say that corporate/software arrogance and ignorance has surpassed itself. I found this site whilst looking for Morris parts - they most likely couldn't even supply the right light bulb with all due respect. It's funny if you know what you're doing (just read what spares they offer), but a novice could end up with for example, a steering wheel with an airbag?

Wow!¬ Didn't realise that I had airbags! I'll drive with so much more reassurance now! And can anyone tell me at what sort of rpm does the turbo kick in?

I tried to post a comment to them under their "contact us" page, and it just gave me a "resource not found" error. So they don't know what they are talking about, and can't run a web site either. Doesn't fill me with confidence.

That'll be fine for The Italian Job, where they work on the diff on a Mini - at the BACK

I used their services before, for a part for a 1970s car, nothing ever turned up. I suppose they won't really bother with cars over 10 or 15 years old, but then they shouldn't list really old cars if that's the case.

In my opinion you're better off hunting yourself and actually seeing the part with your own eyes. If it's coming off a scrap car the part will most likely be well worn. It also gives you the opportunity to haggle and take other juicy parts.

Yep - love that bit of the film too  Just for fun - here is the opening title sequence from the film :-) I don't think that's a 950 A series engine in there - do you?

Hands up who is up for driving their Minor through the Alps? Let's organise our own Trip

Wow
interesting and funny responses:)

I just hope that my ignorant jibe will at least inform newbies of a pitfall.

Newbies? Hell, I can't even find what's trying to shake my traveller to pieces!

I ordered a starting handle for an Aston Martin Vantage and I'm still waiting.
When it arrives I'll get round to finding an Aston Martin Vantage someone will give me...perhaps!
