Wing mirrors
Has any body got a template or positioning guide to fitting wing mirrors on a 59 saloon. I have just fitted new wings

Re: Wing mirrors
I was told by a chap who entered/enters his vehicle at shows that the mirrors stem centres are fitted 7 inches from the front of the wing and at the highest part of the curve. Make of this info what you will!

Re: Wing mirrors
Seems reasonable. Theres's no firm rules about it as all wing mirrors were extras, either dealer fitted or aftermarket. I've had a car with a secondhand wing on it and one mirror a good 4" further back fromt he headlamp than the other side! Really stood out once you knew about it.
When I fit them I normally place my little finger on the headlamp rim, stretch my hand out and put a marker pen dot where my thumb is and drill there. It's probably about 7" really....

Re: Wing mirrors
Make sure that you fit convex glass mirrors not flat glass and also long arms.
