A couple of days ago I checked over all four breaks just make sure the pads and everything was still okay. I fired up the old girl and moved her into the middle of the drive, firstly jacking up the driver’s side front wheel. I then turned the wheel by hand noticing some resistance but not that much only a "minor" scraping/rubbing noise. I then took the wheel and drum off and check the brake shoes with there being plenty where left in them. I then put the drum back on pushed the brake pedal down several times and then returned to the drum.
Then when I trying to turn the drum after breaking I noticed there was considerably more resistance and on removing the drum I noticed that it seemed to me like the cylinders were not fully retracting. However I am not entirely sure as too what to look for any advice on this?
Just to add a bit more detail when I have been breaking harshly it does seem to pall to the left, also when checking the passenger side front drum there was considerably more where on the brake shoes and a lot of black dust within the drum. In addition to this when I apply the brakes then release them and tried to turn the drum there was quite a lot of resistance to the extent that use two hands and noticeable effort to turn it.[frame]
