As far as I am aware, there is no judging at this year's National Rally so you can put the cotton buds away.
However there are plenty of other rallies where you can polish your hub caps

why do you think that
and why would the Powers that control us not have a condition class this year
what is wrong with not having it this year
nobody has stated that it wont happen
what caused it to be cancelled
as i wasent entering the concurs
i have no need ,as you put it "to polish my hubcaps"
all i want to know is when was it voted on to cancel the condition class
i was at the A.G.M. last year and not one of them on the platform stated that they were going to even think of cancelling it
Whats going on

yup it should be an outstanding rally
competing is the name of the game rather than winning
cant wait to see all the travellers lined up as usual
what a great photo opportunity
after all the effort and hard work put in to entering the Condition class
as for a lot of members this is the only class we can compete in
roll on June 8) 8) 8) 8)

I will make sure i park next to you :P Mine will put yours to shame...

Other than the wood, paint work, body work, engine.... etc

This year there is not going to be the usual MMOC National Rally - it is being held in conjunction with the Morris International Centenary event so lots of other car clubs are also attending, including some who are also incorporating their own 'national rally' into the event. Some people are still referring to the event as the "MMOC national rally" but it isn't really as it's nothing like the usual national rally - lots of other car clubs are having an input into how the event is run.

The MMOC has been in discussions with the other car clubs with regards to the organisation of the event and it was decided that due to the layout of the rally ground it would not be practical to line up lots of the same vehicles in rows. Instead, vehicles will be arranged differently from the standard rally set up - not in rows in make/model order - and no condition judging will take place as it would not be practical to attempt to judge the condition of hundreds of different types of vehicles which will be spread all over a very large rally ground. The same happened at the MMOC 50th & 60th anniversary rallies which were both mixed car club events on a large scale.

This was mentioned at the Branch & Register liaison meeting which was held on the 30th September and I posted the information on this messageboard, in the members area, on 1st October - the day after the meeting.

Full details about the Centenary event will be published in the next issue of Minor Matters.

So I presume registration forms will be in the next issue of Minor Matters?

I have never been to an English Morris Minor Rally before so I am not sure how it all works.

Louise, thanks very much for the links, downloaded and printed already. I have a question - I'll be bringing my Series II Traveller, but it currently doesn't have an 803cc engine, do I still put a Cross in the box against "Series II (803)" ?
It also currently has a much newer registration number (hoping to sort that one out).
George.

Tick Ser II as the bodyshape is still Ser II splitscreen. There is no judging this Rally as it is not purely a Morris Minor event.

I think it'll be interesting seeing other cars and personalities and a brilliant idea overall.
