Look what I've done....

Post by Dominic »

Hi folks
I've just been tempted by this gorgeous example of a 1971 MG Midget. Rebuilt 6 years and 3000 miles ago. Still has original engine which was rebuilt with all new internals (including oil pump!) Gearbox & diff likewise, brakes re-piped and renewed all round. All rust cut away and new heritage floor panels etc fitted.
I have paid a deposit on it, and now have to sell my Morris to pay for the rest.
I am just finishing off fitting poly bushes to the front suspension, then it will be put up for sale. So if anyone is interested in a very solid and mechanically fine (but slightly scruffy paint) peat brown 2-door saloon - 1968, with a 1275 and 3.9 diff, please let me know.

Hi,
Like the MG. Shame you can't keep the Minor as well, it doesn't look that bad in the photo by the way, despite you describing it as 'slightly scruffy'.
Obviously the first thing that anyone who might be interested is going to want to know is how much you are going to want for it.
Best wishes,
Mike.

1970 Triumph Herald 1200: "Hetty" -- Driven back from Llangollen in Wales (twice.....)
1952 Morris Minor MM highlight with sidevalve engine still fitted, wants work, so joins the queue for now......
