New distributor

Post by cmec »

I have to replace my distributor as its completely nacked. When I look at a electronic replacement from Simonbbc there appears to be no advance/retard connection, why is this and what do I do with the other end from the caburetter.

I was at simonbbc's unit literally this afternoon they are the friendliest most helpful lads I've met in a while, id maybe give them a buzz. They certainly knew the stuff and sorted me out.

You MUST have the vacuum advance/retard - get a 45D dizzy. I wouldn't go electronic - but it's up to you. This one is ideal http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morris-Minor- ... 2a0c27ddfe And yes - the 45D doesn't have the little adjustment knob for A--R if that's what you mean...

Thanks for the info. I couldn't see the vacuum input from the picture I had. All is clear now.
