Perfectly safe mate, a genuine enthusiast who has helped me out before. He is also a cricket fan and hot-rod enthusiast.

He's great, he's got a database that'll confirm if your car is genuine or not.

Chris is very useful when cars need "dating" i.e. log books state a year, but the car looks either older or newer than that date. By using the various chassis numbers/body numbers/gearbox details supplied by other members he can help slot the car into a year and usually even suggest a rough month of manufacture. Very useful register if your car is (hopefully not) stolen.

He seems to be the only person who understands the body number system and its relationship to chassis numbers

The "Database" is only as good as the information it contains - it STILL has loads of gaps!

Consists of 30 pages of numbers & details NOT covered by previous MM publications.

Therefore, the more info I have, the better position I am to assist enthusiasts.

So, PLEASE pm/e-mail me your vehicles' chassis/body/engine etc numbers.

Thanks

Chris

Will you buy me a cornetto if I take UXH to the national ? I'll let you have a drive !
might even take SLM on a pallett - two Cornetto's ?
Even better if someone could bring an unearthed Spitfire ! I'm sure, somewhere, in Spitfire history, Lord Nuffield played a part. Not too sure his plans took off (pun intended) but there is a connection somewhere !

Only if she's fitted with disc brakes - do you remember the thousands of complaints BMC received from the GPO when drivers refused to use them due to poor brakes?

Mmm...neither do I!!
