All,
I hope that this is in the right area, but if not moderators please move.
I'm not a chemist, so correct me where I go wrong but I beleive that you can use ethanol from fuel by phase seperation by adding distilled water.
Is there a chemist in the club that can confirm/deny this?
If it is possible, could this mean that we can get our cars ethanol free?
Would the FBHVC be interested?

Removing it is probably not the most effective solution, the attached link may provide some comfort.

no doubt some bright spark is already looking at Viton formed and shaped to fit Vintage car fuel lines, not least as a ready market exists.

Re: Removing Ethanol from Petrol
Having first of all been mildly alarmed over the announcement of introducing increased ethanol fuel I now believe the furore over it (it's going to ruin my engine, will destroy brass parts, &c. &c.) is unfounded and a load of rubbish.
Already UK petrol contains 5% ethanol. Has my fuel tank melted? Nope. Have my cork carb. seals rotted? Nope. Has my engine blown up? Not yet.
I am strongly of the opinion that we should all 'keep calm and drive on'.
