Not if it was running ok.... Maybe the dreaded by=pass hose!

Re: JUST DUMPED ALL IT'S WATER ALL OVER THE DRIVE :(
Bottom hose. Radiator. Drain tap. Heater hose. Heater Tap. Just fill it up and see where it runs out.

Was it raining in the Midlands today? Might have been sediment in a chassis drain-hole which has suddenly evacuated.

Oh dear - as Simmitic says fill it up and watch, start the engine if you can't see anything as might only leak under pressure.
May only be a slack Jubilee clip.
Hope it isn't the by-pass.

Definitely Norovirus... check the old girl isn't dehydrated, she should start holding water again in a couple of days.

It's the bottom hose spilt right where it attaches to the rad,mm centre opens on wed so I'll have to wait till then, unless anyone near brum as a spare to loan me,which I will replace with a new one,of course.
So glad i'm not using waterless

I got what I deserve
still i'm very glad it went kaput on the drive rather than the M42
Are the silicon hoses worth the extra dosh?

Silicone hoses can look 'out of place' due to their lurid colours but some are now available in black, it is however a gloss black and will still stand out over rubber hoses.
Re: JUST DUMPED ALL IT'S WATER ALL OVER THE DRIVE :(
Definitely avoid the ghastly Kevlar hoses...........

See my link about kelvar hoses.
http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f= ... lit=kelvar
I ended up fitting an original type hose that was probably 20 + years old, still no problems.

Re: JUST DUMPED ALL IT'S WATER ALL OVER THE DRIVE :(
A company called Classic Silicone Hoses run by a very helpful lady, produce "classic black" silicone hoses that look like original fitments, but should last longer. I have fitted two sets, the first over two years ago, and no problems whatsoever. They are easier to work with too
As others have said, avoid kevlar.

Re: JUST DUMPED ALL IT'S WATER ALL OVER THE DRIVE :(
A hose is a service item and they need replacing when they become perished. Time will tell for how long silicone and kevlar will last for but ordinary rubber ones can - and do - last for decades. And also happen to much cheaper.

Re: JUST DUMPED ALL IT'S WATER ALL OVER THE DRIVE :(
Except - I think there are some pretty poor hoses about these days.........
