I've now fitted the cd player and all is fine, just checking, I've earthed it to the bulkhead via a screw/bolt under the glove box is this OK?

Many thanks

Assumeing you are buying a new radio then you shgould not have to cut off the adapters. There is an ISO standard for connections, it has one plug for power related connections and a second one for Speaker connections.

If you fit these then pretty much any radio can be fitted (for instance when DAB radios become cheap enough for in car use you could fit one) I bought one for £300 for the Landrover and if you did that it would also solve the antenna problem as it goes thorugh glass anyway.

Ah, but the Minor doesn't have any adaptors fitted as standard, of course... so you'd either have to alter the bundled adaptor to fit, or fit a different one... :-?

For sure, My new radio came with both connectors and about 6" of cable on them. I was going to put the old one into the moggie when I have done the alternator conversion. I've got the kit coming on Friday and I thought (From the alternator thread) that it might be a good idea to photograph it.

I had the idea when i did it to add a little "Subloom" to run the various accesories. It might be a good idea to measure the lengths required and post them here (with the appropriate connectors). This would also include an extra fuse box for the accesories.
