Body shops within the Birmingham area? :)
I was reccently involved in a three car collision, stuck in the middle, and its caused the boot to buckle up slightly and not sit right with the car or hinges and the front radiator grille is just slightly bent.
Does anyone know of a reputable bodyshop/mechanic willing to fix a morris within the Birmingham area?
Cheers, Katy.

JLH are a bit further out, near Leamington. But they certainly know their way around a Morris Minor, so could be worth going further afield for a good job.
Alternatively there is 'Archers Garage' on the Hainge Road just off J2 of the M5. They specialise in classic cars, but not sure if they're more mechanical than bodywork.

There is likely to be a lot more to it than meets the eye - the bumper irons will have been pushed in to the bodywork. Let the Insurance Co sort it out! If you were rammed - it's not your fault or blame.

BMC That's all well and good but I've seen cars after they've had work done by a "modern" garage. Welding has been done not using the proper panels/panels including wings/sills welded as the garage didn't ealise they should be bolt on.......
Asking on here for a classic friendly garage whose address you can pass on to your insurance company makes a lot of sense to me.

Indeed it does - but the (presumably Classic) Insurance Co will have all that in hand - I'm sure.........

Insurance companies send it to the cheapest repairer, lots of modern fitters ,very few classic mechanics, and even fewer with much experience,I watched one chap scratch his head with my hub caps
You can take an insurance claim to any garage of your choice, some companies may have discouragement clauses, but at the end of the day it's your choice.

Contact JLH asap
Re: Body shops within the Birmingham area? :)
When I had my little prang,The insurance company told me it was my responsability to find a car repairer.
Re: Body shops within the Birmingham area? :)
That's good! Most Insurance Cos would just scrap the car and pay minimal compen.

.... and JLH are some 40 miles from the centre of Birmingham. About an hour's travelling at least. If you live on the western side of B'ham even more

I got him fixed, and also painted black. Took a lot longer than expected but he looks gorgeous. Will upload pics on here if I can get my camera to work.

I also use Frank Stones on York Road for my repairs and services, my family use the garage for most of our cars.
