Questions about Minor 1000 gearboxes

Hi friends, questions: 1 - Is possible that the last Minor 1000 with 948 cc. were mounting the gearbox of 1098 cc. engine? 2 - Which is the way of recognizing the type of gearbox of my Minor 1000? Best regards José Luis

Not from the factory - but many engines and gearboxes have been changed over the years. So a 948 engine CAN be used with a 1098 box. And that 1098 box has a ribbed casing - while the 948 box is smooth.

Well then -it's 1098 or 1275 type.
