If the pump stops then try tapping the pump body with a screw driver handle and it might spring back into life.
You can also disconnect the electrical connections and undo the plastic cap. The points are held in with 1 screw which you can loosen by 2/3 turns and the points will come out so you can clean then with emery paper which should get the pump going again.
If you take the pump off the car you will see a nut that holds in the filter which you can undo and take out the filter for a clean.
Good luck, Jeff

You can't damage the Diaphram by tapping the pump or cleaning the contacts.
I think if the diamphram is broken it won't pump at all so the pump is broken. You can strip them down to fix if you can find a new diaphram.

If it's an electric pump, 12Volt, it should work, but it might be higher pressure, then you may or may not need a pressure regulator. Can you tell me - can set the another vehicle fuel pump if original pump stop

The pump is similar, but not the same, as the one fitted to BMC Minis,.
I expect the points and diaphragm are the same parts and could be used to refurbish your pump for another 30 years service.

Or - rig up a gravity feed using a lawn mower fuel tank......
