Hi everyone,
I am currently putting back to gether a 1968 1098cc engine, i am having problems puting the tappets back in (actually having problem with one of them) the one that is farthest to the rear of the engine wont go back in! I have treid to put other ones in and they wont budge. I have cleaned out the bores and everything and still no luck!! Couls anyone help me??

Try swapping it with one of the others, you may be able to identify the problem, tappet or hole?

How far in does it go?
Maybe the cam lobe is holding it up, turn the engine over a bit and see if it goes in further.
