Distributor Numbers

Post by cmec »

Hi first post for help.

I have started to clean and refurbish the distributor for my 10MA-U-HXXXXX engine, it has a number of 40569K which is listed in (http://www.starchak.ca/tech/pdfs/lucas.pdf) but does not indicate if it is for this series on engine. I suspect that it may have been replaced sometime. Can anyone give the correct number I should be looking for.
Thanks

Why does it matter ? The petrol we have these days is FAR removed from the petrol back in the day. If it runs - use it. But DO check if the vacuum advance is working. I assume it is a 25D dizzy? The later 45D is a better bet.......
