Head light features that look like eyelids??
Some minors have a curious (but very pleasing) feature where they have a sort of partial cover over the headlamps that look a bit like eyelids. The white traveller on the home page of this site has this feature. What is this called and where can I get them?
Thanks,
Matt

Headlamp peaks.
Usual suppliers sell em, think someone on the forum had a set for sale too.

Are you referring to headlamp peaks or headlamp half-moons?

Re: Head light features that look like eyelids??
Thanks all.
Twincamman, sorry, don't know. Take a look at the Traveller on the homepage. That is what I mean.
Cheers,

Those are headlamp peaks. They're available from Ratsport and various other classic accessories places.

That Traveller shows all that for me is to be avoided like the plague !!
These silly peaks are dangerous to pedestrians and should be banned.

Thanks bmceccosse - I'm glad you like my Traveller so much!
I've yet to impale anybody on the front of my car or decapitate them!
I like them and that's all that matters!

If I was the MOT tester I would fail it for 'sharp edges'........

The edges on my headlamp peaks are rounded and perfectly smooth and if they did happen to contact anything they would probably fly off rather than cause injury as they are only sprung in position under the bezels.

Ooh, I want in on this one. I like the visor (I don't drive fast enough to really affect my mileage) and the headlamp peaks look cool and should keep bmcecosse from stepping out in front of me when I am driving slowly through town.bmcecosse wrote:That Traveller shows all that for me is to be avoided like the plague !!These silly peaks are dangerous to pedestrians and should be banned.

You should be OK in Suffolk - he doesn't usually venture too far Southmidengineracer wrote: should keep bmcecosse from stepping out in front of me when I am driving slowly through town.

Yes, mine have the rounded off edges and wouldn't harm a fly. As you can see from the picture on the homepage my Trav has most of the accesories you can get on it. They were all available when the car was new and none of them are modern reproductions.
I'll be sure to avoid running over bmceccosse if he ever ventures down as far as Dorset!!!!!!
My MOT tester actually likes all the accesories on the Traveller.
