How soon should you re torque the cylinder head

Hi, how soon should you re torque down the cylinder head on a new recon engine?

I'd check with the supplier. Best to do things 'by the book' to keep the warranty in tact.

I have seen a 'Blue Ribband' engine that say 'do not retorque' for some reason.

I'd normally advocate straight after the first heat cycle, and then check again after a few hundred miles.

I would retorque after the first heat cycle -and then NOT touch it again. But -as above - i you have a warranty on the engine - ask them !! They may have done the job already........
