engine paint
Hi Folks........where do I get Engine green paint and what kind of preperation is needed before painting?.......Ta... Dave
Re: engine paint
You can just get a spray can from Hellfrauds - choose a green that's near - or I believe Bull Motif sell a spray can of the supposedly correct colour ~ £10 +vat etc and DSN do a brush on paint for ~ £13 +vat etc. Just clean and degrease the engine thoroughly - carb choke cleaner is good for final degrease - and then spray away!

Re: engine paint
I know the factory used to spray 'everything' green but I like the contrast of the gaskets, brass and aluminium, (and it will never be a 'show' car)

Re: engine paint
Hi Matt
Did you spray each part separately or brush? I assume you did the head before you bolted it on? You did a great job and I'd like to replicate. Also, teh ESM paint - do you know the British Standard code - I cant buy it from them as they wont post it to Australia. Im trying to rebuild our 56 Morris Minor. We're at engine re-assembly phase now, so paint is needed... Thanks Peter

Re: engine paint
Try BS 381/222 Light Bronze Green. Comes from the Land Rover paint chart. It can be mixed in heat resistant formula
