Fuel gauge
My fuel gauge has stopped working , is the sensor in the fuel tank easy to get to and am I correct in saying if I earth the wire the gauge should go to full

Re: Fuel gauge
Certainly yes if it's the later 'hot wire' gauge - ie moves slowly up to give a reading when you switch on. Yes - you can get at the sender unit from the boot space - but I suggest an empty tank will be a good idea!

Re: Fuel gauge
Thanks Roy , so if I earth the wire and gauge goes up it should be a faulty sender unit ??
