Series 11 Air Cleaner

Post by anthonyknight109 »

Hi,
This month's Classic Car Mart mag.has an article featuring a series 11 Tourer which has its original air cleaner modified with K&N internals. Can anyone tell me how this is done?

Only by butchering the original. It looks awful and is pointless, as 1) the S.II air cleaner is massive anyway, and 2) you don't renew any element - just clean it petrol, leave to dry and then re-oil the mesh.

Agree with ^^^^^ . Good way to waste money and time ! The air cleaner is by no means the power limiting factor on that engine anyway........

Thanks for the advice. I guess I'll stick with things as they are.
