Sticking Accelerator Pedal
Anyone got any advice as to how to rectify a sticking pedal. When I push pedal down , it will go so far and return easily. However if it is pushed further the pedal doesn't return. It got stuck full on this morning and I had to flick it up with my foot!

Re: Sticking Accelerator Pedal
Undo the cable at the carb and pull it back from the pedal to check that it is not frayed.
Check that the pedal is moving freely up and down and not obstructed by carpets or mats
Check the return spring on the carb

Fit a nice new cable (and buy a spare at the same time for the glovebox). Get a nice long cable with a sweeping bend. It is perfectly possible to use a bicycle gear change or brake cable if your outer sheath is ok - ie NOT kinked.

A dab of solder along the end will prevent future problems of fraying.
