Hi
I have recently removed a heater from a 65 2-Door saloon that has had a 1275/Toyota box conversion and I cannot source a replacement matrix.
As I've lost the phone No of the man who did the conversion, I am wondering someone in the club has had the same problem.
The matrix is identical in every way to the normal minor one , its just 1/4" thicker which means that the holes in the "heaterbox side plate" are in a slightly different position to accomodate it.
I have a Mini matrix and this has the hose ports as a mirror image to the Minor set-up so is no use at all.
I have been trying for some time to find a match with no success at all so any leads which can be offered in this regard will be very gratefully received.
cheers
MrTom

... I've never seen a mini Heater, but can't you either turn it round or drill a new set of holes???

Well.... they say it's based on a Mini heater and... erm.. that it's good. It's also expensive, so I haven't got one, and therefore cannot comment on how it fits. I should imagine that it's a mishmash of Minor parts and Mini parts cobbled together (though I'm sure it's much better thought-out than that.... ;) ) so that it fits the Minor, just as it should.
Happy Minoring!

The mini one still fits the casing it just that the hiles are in a slightly different position so the outer casing has to be adjusted I think its shown in the technical tips section, also the pipes are 5/8" I think compare to the standard 1/2" and to fit those a reducer is often used.
Tom if you lived local to me it would not be a problem as we have a radiator reconditioning firm who will overhaul all types of radiators although the Moggie ones are cheaper from the Moggie specialists, have you tried to see if there is a place locally ?
Using Yellow pages I found
Colchester Radiator Specialists
All radiators manufactured. • Repairs & Rebuilds http://www.yell.com/passport/goto/colch ... pable=true
They should be able to help and tell you what it comes from.

Thanks for that everyone. Unfortunately, one of the metal inlet/outlet connectors on the heater matrix itself broke off in the removal process, as it had become welded to the hose over time. I think reconditioning is probably out of the question. However, I shall take up your advice Kevin, and track down Colchester Radiator; keep my fingers crossed they will recognise it.
If not , I reakon Multiphonikks might have the answer. The mini one seems to be pretty much the same size as the original minor matrix, though, so i cant really see why it's considered an upgrade.
Thanks again for the tips
