Less than 3000 from the end of production!

Engine number should be 5 digits 94392?

Bother you still further by asking for its cab nos.?

Z35127-34 258xxx

Its pretty unusual, only used during the last year or so of production.
It has the steering column ignition switch, so yes, one of the last ones built in Adderley Park.

Cheers
Don

Edit. Ooops! I didn't see the last post.

At the top of the n/s engine bay b/head.

Dylan

The cab number should be around the 258/9xxx mark, PLUS the chassis nos. quoted on the plate is not that of the van!

324xxx matches the 94xxx engine, perhaps cab nos. is 2582xx,not 2528xx?

the van's door card is off on that side, but i have 2 cards for that side. 1 with plate and 1 with out. i think the 1 with out is the 1 off this van. i did have another van a long time ago, so the plate i have must of been off that. that 1 was a bit older may be g reg. the numbers i got from the small thin plate from n/s under bonnet are correct. your thoughts please

Mmmm....

Interesting!

That chassis plate is nothing older than '71(J plate) - NOT from a '69!

The cab number matches for chassis nos in the range; 316xxx-317xxx

Once the PO adopted their own engine, the chassis/cab + engine nos. were pretty much consecutive.

Looking through my LCV chassis/cab + engine records, your van should be Z35127-34 258xxx-259xxx.

The engine is ok for 324xxx.

Bit of a mystery this one!

i dont think this van has ever done much, 42k on the clock and i would imagine its true. the plate in engine bay dose'nt look its been messed with so should be original. there also another plate thing in the engine bay. as you look from front its on the right in front of those few 2'' holes. not sure whats on it, bit rusty and i've got paint on it now.

It should duplicate the number on the thin bulkhead strip.

I have had vans where I acquired replacement front doors complete with ( Ex military I think ) a door card chassis detail plate etc , obviously it was no way related to the true identity on the under bonnet plate.

The chassis plate has completely different information on it than the 2 plates in the engine bay. These 2 under the bonnet hold the same numbers, or rather they should! :D

The 2 under the bonnet have the same number ------that is the 1 on the bulkhead and the one on the tie plate.
