Hi everyone Im 15 and had my morris minor 1000 1952 (been in the family since new, My great Grandmother bought it many moons ago) for a few years and finally going to start work on it, as have hopefully got the workshop space sorted. Is there anything i really need to know about starting work on it. Like the best way of storing it... Hopefully will have it up and running in about 2 years if all goes to plan. If anyone could offer any advice about starting off with a restoration i would greatly appreciate it. Just generally about storing or where to start. From what i know its in fairly good condition just a bit of rust around the door and wheel arches but got the replacement parts.

My advice,
Take LOTS of pictures (and back them up!).
And ask if you're not sure before doing anything, advice from a 17 year old who has learned that he should ask first!
Make sure everything is labeled and bagged and take plent of reference pictures if you are storing grease things up dont leave the handbrake on and if possible leave on jacks
If you have no idea what you're doing then best to join a local branch and become best friends with the most knowledgeable guy there as well as posting on here and the MMOCYM facebook page.
