Felix

Post by wrcnav01 »

See Newbie from Powys/shropshire border in the General section for an introduction to Felix. We've had him 5 days now and every day one of us has sat in him , started him , cleaned him and laughed at his cheesy black grille and rusty roof.
See pics below , he seems to a little high on the front but I guess I need to study the various threads covered here to sort that one out.
Interior is'nt too bad , rear seat looks OK but the fronts are recliners off some other make. Door cards and sun visors need attention and I think I'm missing a shelf under the dashboard??[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Engine was replaced in 2001 with an unleaded 1098 , sounds sweet and no smoke so I'll dump the oil out this weekend and replace with 20/50 - I've seen the arguements over oil on this forum so I'm not getting dragged into a discussion on what make of oil I'm using. :-?
If anyone can see anything missing in my engine bay please let me know ( i have the fan cover plate that sits on top of the red - its in the boot)[frame]Image[/frame]

Rear wing primed and painted , although its difficult to get the depth with a couple of cans of Halfords gloss black. Its suprising what elbow grease does and some resin polish , although I'm going to have to get Felix in the garage to spray the roof and boot - but that'll be later this month.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]
